Zahra Buhari Back On Twitter, Accuses PDP Of Hacking Into Her Twitter Account
Zahra, the daughter of the All Progressives Congress, Maj. Gen.
Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), has accused the Peoples Democratic Party of
hacking into her Twitter account.
On her Twitter handle, she said the ruling party used somebody to gain an unlawful access into her account to post a grammatical blunder aimed at embarrassing her.
The aspiring first daughter, who now has a new account, said she was shocked that the PDP could stoop so low to gain a political advantage.
She said, “The PDP had someone hack into my Twitter account to post a grammatical blunder. This is so uncalled-for.
“Even if I tweeted a grammatical blunder, I didn’t say ‘There is God o’ like our First Lady said.”
She, however, did not give further details to buttress the allegation.
She had previously frowned on the actions of the party, saying Nigerians were no longer ready to tolerate its excesses.
Since her comeback, Zahra’s fans are pouring in by the second to reconnect with her on the new account – @ZahraBuhari. She has also become more active on the medium.
Introducing the account, she told her fans, “I am as lovely as my father’s lovely heart.”
The United Kingdom-based undergraduate, who shot into limelight earlier in the month when her photographs appeared on the social media, said people “now think I am faking in my own world.”
On Wednesday, she posted a series of tweets, insisting that Nigerians could not continue to endure the pains bad leadership has inflicted on them.
Noting that change was inevitable, she called on individuals to support her father to bring the desired change as the country approaches crucial general elections.
“Change is the only thing that is permanent. We need change.
“If school certificate defines a good president, don’t you think President Jonathan’s PhD ought to have fought insecurity and corruption,” she tweeted.
Zahra also sent photographs of a campaign train of the APC, saying, “This is how far we can go to get a change. Do not watch, make a move and vote for change.”
Zahra’s striking beauty had won her thousands of fans on her now-terminated Twitter handle -@zahra3 – following the release of her photographs by bloggers. But the young lady, who has become an instant celebrity, dumped the account, leaving her fans in the limbo.
Shortly before closing her former Twitter account, she had described the debate on the whereabouts of her father’s certificates as a “misplaced priority.”
Amid her soaring fame, some people had however warned that her sudden celebrity was a bad publicity for Buhari.
For instance, Arikor Ogonnaya argued that her overnight celebrity status would do her father more bad than good.
He also suggested that the fame she was getting was an indication that her father would not achieve the “change” he desires for the country.
“Your father is someone who has been hailed throughout the media as a spotless saviour; a sinless messiah and a guiltless saint. His ‘change’ mantra says so. For somebody who is vigorously trying to so ‘change’ Nigeria as he claims, his first port of call should be our attitudes, lifestyle and mentality. Having his daughter’s picture trending on Twitter isn’t the best way to begin such change.
“Politics, as you know it in ‘oyinboland’, has a totally different meaning in Nigeria. Here, politics is really ‘politicks’ translating into ‘poli’ –many, and ‘ticks’ – blood-sucking insects. Well, having your picture trending on social media is such a great avenue,” Ogonnaya noted.

Unmanned Drone Crashes In Borno Village
An unmanned drone suspected to be used on the
counter-insurgency operation in the Northeast has crashed at Dumge
village of Mafa Local Government Area of Borno State this afternoon, KSM
News has learnt. Dumge is 30km northeast of Maiduguri.
Earlier today CNN had reported that the U.S. Secret Service is investigating a “device,” described as a small drone, found on the grounds of the White House, a White House official said Monday, and Press Secretary Josh Earnest said early indications are that the device does not pose an ongoing threat.
The Secret Service is sweeping the White House grounds on Monday morning looking for anything else that might be on the ground.
At Mafa, KSM News could not dig deep to ascertain the source or make of the drone but one Muktar Usman says of the drone on the social media as follows: "It could be French. And what happened after that? The drone is still armed. I can see missiles attached to the wings. Locals have to be careful!"
The Nigerian military is yet to issue statement regarding the drone.

Funke Akindele Threatens To Sue Blogger Linda Ikeji
Funke Akindele, has threatened to sue Nigerian blogger, Linda Ikeji.
Ms. Akindele has asked Ms. Ikeji to retract and apologise within 24 hours for a post on Ms. Ikeji’s blog published
on January 25, titled, Did Funke Akindele shade Toyin Aimakhu last night?
In the post, Ms. Ikeji suggested that an Instagram picture on Ms. Akindele’s page was intended as a slight on fellow actress, Ms. Aimakhu, who was recently rumoured to have separated from her husband, Adeniyi Johnson.
According to Ms. Ikeji, the two actresses had previously fallen out and Ms. Aimakhu had “shaded” Ms. Akindele over the latter’s 2014 divorce.
Ms Akindele, through her management, said thanks to Ms. Ikeji’s blog post, she was exposed to “cynical comments and hasty judgements”.
“(The post has portrayed) Funke Akindele’s brand in bad light,” her management said. “It has promoted unhealthy rivalry where there is none.”
Ms. Akindele’s lawyer, in a seven paragraph letter made available to PREMIUM TIMES said the post was “borne out of pure malice for our client who has carved an inch (sic) for herself in the entertainment industry whilst also inciting hatred between our client and Toyin Aimakhu on one hand and our client and her fans on the other hand.”
Ms. Ikeji was subsequently advised to remove the post, offer a retraction and make available a link to Ms. Akindeke’s team.
Ms. Ikeji could not be reached to comment for this story. Calls to the number listed on her website were unanswered.
